Margate Radio CIC (Community Interest Company) is a volunteer-run, independent, licensed, DIY internet radio station founded in 2020. Margate Radio is a platform to create and distribute content that celebrates and connects our seaside town Margate in Kent, England to the rest of the world. With are deeply rooted to the linage of DIY culture that has proceeded us. Taking inspiration from pirate radio and the punk aesthetic of independence and a much needed alternative to the mainstream. We are not motivated solely by commercial interests, our motivation is as a movement created by the people for the people.
